Executive Committee:

President:

The President acts as the chief executive officer of the Organization and shall preside at all meetings of the general membership and the Executive Board. The President is charged with leading the Organization in the development and execution of the goals and objectives of the Organization and in furtherance of its Mission and Vision.

Vice President of Administration:

The VP-Administration shall oversee the administrative functions of the Organization. Oversees Finance and PR Committees directly.

Vice President of Operations:

The VP-Operations shall oversee the operational functions of the Organization. All committees other than Executive, Finance and PR.

Treasurer:

The Treasurer administers and reports against the financial policies of the organization.

Secretary:

The Secretary shall be responsible for recording the proceedings of General Membership meetings and the Executive Board meetings.

Committees:

The Kentucky Chapter of the National Black MBA Association provides services to its members and the surrounding community via the Chapter Committees. These committees include: Corporate Development, Finance, Fund Raising, Membership and Public Relations Summaries for each committee and the ability to contact committee chairs are found below.

Corporate Development

Chair:
The Corporate Development committee develops and maintains relationships with local corporations and governmental agencies, works with those corporations and agencies for all fundraising activities on a local and national level, maintains our corporate contact database andmailing list and coordinates the corporate reception.

Finance

Chair:
Our Finance committee is tasked with ensuring the efficient management of the financial resources of the Association and participating in chapter audits.

Fund Raising

Chair:
The Fund Raising committee plans and manages activities and special events that generate income for our organization. Our annual Banquet and Holiday Affair are events that fall under this committee's charter.

Membership

Chair:
The volunteers in the Membership committee are charged with maintaining the local membership roster and database, generating mailing labels and membership lists, sending new member packages, developing and implementing strategies to maintain and increase membership.

Policy & Procedures

Chair:
The Policy & Procedures committee establishes policies and procedures, communicates and keeps our Constitution, bylaws and procedures manual updated.

Public Relations

Chair:
The Public Relations team is focused on publishing and disseminating information of interest to members and the community. The committee is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local publications, radio and television stations to further advance and promote Association events. The Web site and Newsletter programs are extensions of this committee's responsibilities.
